Span-85 is mainly used as an initiator, oxidant and polymer stabilizer. It can be used in the manufacture of rubber and plastics, such as the preparation of polyvinyl chloride, polypropylene, rubber and polyester. Span-85 is also used as an oxidizing agent in coatings, paints and adhesives. It is also used as an oxidant in organic synthesis reactions.
